Lincoln County Community Theater will hold auditions Saturday, June 18 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for its summer production of “You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown.” The musical will open Friday, June 29 for a two-weekend run at the downtown Lincoln Theater.

“You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” is a 1967 musical comedy with music and lyrics by Clark Gesner, based on the characters created by cartoonist Charles M. Schulz in his comic strip “Peanuts.” LCCT will present the updated 1999 revival of the classic musical using an expanded and intergenerational cast. The revised version features two new songs and pop-flavored orchestrations.

All ages are invited to audition by bringing a prepared song to the Lincoln Theater, 2 Theater Street. An accompanist will be provided.

While the LCCT production had been recently canceled, new developments, including the musical contributions of Aaron Robinson and Mort Achter; and stage direction by John Mulcahy, will allow the show to go on. Additional information is available online at lcct.org.
