Caitlin Shetterly will present a Father’s Day Weekend reading of her new book, “Made for You and Me: Going West, Going Broke, Finding Home” Friday, June 17 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Personal Bookshop, 78 Main St./Route 1.

Because of the Father’s Day holiday, Shetterly’s husband Dan, who is the hero of the book, also will be on hand for the reading and signing. He will be available for questions about anything from his version of the couple’s journey west, broke and home to live with Shetterly’s mother; new fatherhood; and what it is like to be the subject of a wife’s memoir.

The Personal Bookshop invites the community to come share some light refreshments and savor an evening that celebrates love, fatherhood, family and coming home to Maine. As is her custom on this book tour, Shetterly will sing “This Land is Your Land” at the close of the reading.

On Saturday, June 25, Shetterly will be part of a luncheon and book signing at Lincolnville’s Salt Water Farm; for more information, call 230-0966 or send email to
