Raymond D. Krupa, 51, died June 5, 2011, at his home in Waldoboro. He was born Sept. 6, 1959, in Westland, Mich., to Daniel and Dolores Petroski Krupa. Raymond grew up in Canton, Mich., and graduated from Canton High School. He joined the U.S. Navy and was stationed in Jacksonville, Fla., Brunswick, and his last nine years in Hawaii.

He was the head chef at the Samoset Resort in Rockport. He was a member of the NRA and the DAV. He was an avid coin collector, and enjoyed his Camaro and Challenger cars. He loved singing country music, camping, boating, and spending time with family.

He was predeceased by his parents.

He is survived by his former wife, Tina McCluskey Krupa of Wiscasset; his son, Randy R. Krupa of Waldoboro; his sisters, Ann Liebau of Novi, Mich., and Chris Krupa of Walled Lake, Mich.; his grandmother, Helen Petroski of Dearborn Heights, Mich.; and several aunts and cousins.

A graveside service with Navy military honors will be held at the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery on Mt. Vernon Road in Augusta at a date to be announced. Should friends desire, contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 3151, Augusta, ME 04330.
