Mélange: A Benefit Concert for Haiti will take place Saturday, June 18 beginning 7 p.m. at the Rockport Opera House, 6 Central St. The concert is produced by the Searsport District High School French Club to benefit Maine-based Konbit Santé in Health Partnership with Cap-Haitien, Haiti.
Headlining the concert is New York City-based, though originally from Paris, singer/songwriter Remy de Laroque. Also performing are Boston-based (originally from Haiti) Gifrants, New York City singer/songwriter Dan Strauss and the Phelps Family Band from Waterville.
Advance tickets for adults are $9 and will be $10 at the door; there is a Father’s Day Weekend special price of $7 for fathers accompanied by their children. Tickets for those older than 64 or younger than 12 are $6; group discounts are available. Advance tickets are on sale at Left Bank Books, Searsport; Mr. Paperback, Belfast; Owl & Turtle, Camden; and Rock City, Rockland.
