The Union Farmers’ Market continues into the season on Friday, June 10 from 2 to 6 p.m. on the Common in the heart of downtown Union.

This coming Friday, market goers will be treated to the sounds of Cinder Conk, a Maine-based Balkan duo comprised of the accordion and upright bass to produce vibrant, colorful sounds of Roma (Gypsy), Yiddish and Eastern European music. There will also be activities for children after 3 p.m. including storytelling by volunteers from the Vose Library of Union, as well as the opportunity for kids to get their hands dirty with some seed starting instruction provided by Guini Ridge Farm of Union.

Each Friday through October the market will offer an opportunity for community members to come together in the heart of Union to purchase fresh, locally grown and produced goods including vegetables, fruits, beef, pork, chicken, lamb, eggs, bread, honey, maple syrup, cheese, foraged items, fresh flowers, seedlings, handmade fresh salsa, wood-fired pizza, seasonal fruit pies, and gluten-free baked goods.
