A budget meeting will be held on the proposed $21 million budget for Maine School Administrative District 40 on Tuesday, June 7 at Medomak Valley High School.

At 6:45 p.m., there will be a discussion of a separate article to purchase two additional new buses. The district budget meeting and vote will begin at 7 p.m.

Voters from the district towns will go through the warrant articles June 7 and set a dollar amount for the budget. The meeting will be a closed warrant, meaning that voters can approve, reject or reduce an article, but money cannot be added to the budget.

On Tuesday, June 14, voters of Friendship, Union, Waldoboro, Warren and Washington will vote yes or no at the polls on whether to approve the district’s budget.
