A 62-year-old Tenants Harbor man was arrested twice Sunday, June 5 within two hours for operating under the influence.

Reginald LaChance was stopped by Rockland Police Officer William Smith at 8:50 a.m. by the Family Dollar store on Park Street, according to the Rockland police report. LaChance was arrested by Smith on suspicion of OUI.

LaChance was taken to the Knox County Jail on upper Park Street.

According to the police report, LaChance was warned by Officer Smith, the jail supervisor, and the bail commissioner not to drive again until he was sober.

LaChance was released on bail.

At 10:40 a.m., he was stopped by Officer Smith and Sgt. Kenneth Smith on Route 1 at the Townline Maritime Farms. LaChance was arrested again for OUI and violation of bail conditions, the report noted.

He was taken to the jail again. His truck was towed from the scene of the traffic stop.
