On Wednesday, June 15, Midcoast watercolor artist Lydia Kaeyer will be featured in an exhibit at the Rockland Congregational Church, 180 Limerock St., from 5 to 7 p.m. The artist’s reception will include piano music by Sue Pedretti and hearty hors d’oeuvres.
Kaeyer graduated from Wheaton College and spent 30 years working with and teaching autistic children in the public schools of Westchester County, N.Y. Upon retiring and moving to Maine in 2001, she decided to try something totally different and took up her paintbrush. She has found great delight in watercolors and currently is showing at Artspace in Rockland and at the Gallery in Port Clyde.
