There has been a buzz of recent activity on the Rockland Golf Course, with an ace highlighting the play.

On June 4, Bill Bachofner recorded a hole-in-one on the fifth hole. He aced the 132-yard, par-3 hole using a 5-hybrid. The ace was witnessed by Bryan Hocking and Linwood Colpritt.

It was Bachofner’s fourth career ace.

In June 1 men’s twilight league play, Tyler Bantle and Mark Hall tied for first gross 39, while Reilly Flanagan finished first net 33. The pin winner was Jamie Boutin, 10 feet on the 10th hole.

In June 2 women’s play, the format was Bingo, Bango Bongo. The flight winners were:

A Flight — Jan Searle, 21; and Donni Witham and Linda Durrell, 20.

B Flight — Sue Wootton, 22; Jeanne Fifield, 21; and Betty Farrand, 20.

C Flight — Sandy Davis, 22; and Martha Bouchard, Joanna Schleif and Connie Welt, 21.

Pins winners — Arlene Adams, 25-11 on the fifth hole; Farrand, 34-7 on the 10th; and Fifield, 28-0 n the 18th. Welt won 50/50.

On June 2 in a senior pro-am best-ball tourney, Pete Matthews finished first gross 79 for pros; John Stacey, Bob Matthews and Ed Balboni, tied first net 74 for pros; while Bob Matthews, Linwood Colpritt, Paul Barter and Bill Bachofner finished first net 63; and Frank Leary, Tom Jacobs, Armond Plourd and Chandler Woodman, as well as the team of Pete Matthews, Denny Katon, Paul Poulin and Ron Uecicer, tied for second net 64.
