The Maine Stone Workers Guild will present “Sitting Pretty: an exhibition at Sharp’s Point South” Friday, June 10 through Sunday, June 19 at Sharp’s Point South, ‎75 Mechanic St. in the city’s South End.

“Sitting Pretty” is an exhibition of seating elements and work that inspires repose. Work by artists and makers in a variety of media will be shown. Among those whose work will be exhibited on the rolling lawns at the Sharp’s Point South waterfront are sculptor Antje Roitzsch, woodworker Peter Proeller and stonecarvers Joe Auciello and Norman Casas.

The public is invited an artist’s reception Friday, June 10 from 4 to 8:30 p.m. featuring food by 4-M Productions, Sweets & Meats, Atlantic Baking Company and Dolcelinos.

Artists will be on site Monday through Friday, June 13 and 17, making pieces that will be shown during the second weekend of the event. That weekend — Saturday and Sunday, June 18 and 19 — also hosts Family Fun Days at Sharp’s Point South.

“Sitting Pretty: an exhibition at Sharp’s Point South” will be held rain or shine. For more information, call Shlomit or Joe Auciello at 594-0548 or send email to auciello@midcoast.com.
