Two sessions of Nature Camp will be offered this summer for 4 to 6-year-old children on the Ashwood Waldorf School campus in Rockport. The deadline to register is Monday, June 13.
Session 1, Woodland Crafts, will take place from July 11–15, 9 a.m. to 12 noon. Campers will create their own moss gardens and terrariums, do crafts such as making leaf prints and pressing flowers, sing summer songs, play games, and enjoy nature stories. This session will be led by Ashwood Early Childhood teacher Toki Oshima.
Session 2, Gnomes and Fairies, will take place July 18 – 22, 9 a.m. to 12 noon.
Children will craft their own gnome or fairy, build them an outdoor home, and create the stories of their lives through crafts and a handmade book. Summer songs and games will be a part of the fun. Session 2 will be led by Ashwood Early Childhood teacher Beth Lunt.
The camps are offered as a Waldorf-based nature experience for young children.
