The Waldoborough Historical Society will host the release and signing of “Citizens Who Heard the Call to Political Service: Waldoboro, Maine 1773-2010,” written by Jean M. B. Lawrence. Wednesday, June 15 at 6 p.m. at the society’s museum, Main Street/Route 220.
Lawrence is a member of the Historical Society Board. Her book was commissioned to fulfill a bequest to the society by Mildred Walter, and all proceeds from the sale of the book will go to the society. The price is $15.70, tax included.
Lawrence also will be signing books at the museum during Waldoboro Day — Saturday, June 18 — from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The book, published by Maine Authors Publishing in Rockland, will be on sale at the Waldoboro Town Office and at the museum.
