It is official. All Eastern Class B and Western Class C tennis teams have completed their 12-game regular-season schedules, with the postseason to begin in the coming days.

The Eastern Class B playoffs will be littered with Knox and Waldo county high school squads participating, with five teams qualifying across both divisions. In Western Class C, one Knox county squad will move on.

On the girls side in Eastern Class B, Camden Hills, Rockland and Belfast all qualified for postseason play, while for that region’s boys, the Windjammers and Lions also earned postseason berths.

In Western Class C, the Georges Valley boys have earned a postseason spot.

With all the rain in recent weeks, the postseason schedules have been pushed back from their initial start times.

Preliminary playoff matches, where applicable, begin Wednesday, June 1, with regional quarterfinals starting Friday, June 3. The regional semifinals will be Monday, June 6 and the regional finals Wednesday, June 8, with the state championships slated, at this point, for Saturday, June 11.

Times are not yet available for the listed playoff matchups and dates are subject to change, but most matches begin at 4 p.m.

Girls

In Eastern Class B, Camden Hills (12-0, 163.6806 points) finishes first, Rockland (7-5, 56.7361 points) sixth, Belfast (7-5, 42.1528 points) eighth and Medomak Valley (2-10, 3.2639 points) 13th. The top eight teams qualify for the playoffs.

The regional quarterfinals are set to begin Friday, June 3, with the No. 1 Windjammers hosting the No. 8 Lions. The two teams squared off once in the regular season, with the Windjammers winning 5-0.

No. 6 Rockland is slated to travel to No. 3 Ellsworth (11-1, 128.4722 points) on Friday, June 3 for another quarterfinal match. The Tigers and Eagles do not play each other during the regular season.

Georges Valley (3-9, 12.7778 points) finishes 11th in Western Class C. Hall-Dale of Farmingdale (12-0, 130.8333 points) finishes first in the 15-team region. The top eight teams advance to the playoffs, which means the Bucs will not participate.

Boys

In Eastern Class B, Camden Hills (12-0, 147.5000 points) finishes second, Belfast (6-6, 44.5833 points) eighth and Medomak Valley (0-12, no points) 14th (last). The top eight teams qualify for the playoffs.

The regional quarterfinals are set to begin Friday, June 3, with the No. 2 Windjammers hosting No. 7 Old Town (5-7, 45.8333 points). The Windjammers and Coyotes do not face each other during the regular season.

No. 8 Belfast will travel to face top-seeded Ellsworth (12-0, 148.6111 points) in another quarterfinal matchup. The Lions and Eagles do not face each other during the regular season.

In Western Class C, Georges Valley (5-7, 35.6944 points) finishes seventh, while Winthrop (12-0, 140-.4167 points) is first in the 13-team region. The top seven teams qualify for the playoffs.

Georges Valley will play at No. 2 Dirigo of Dixfield (11-1, 114.1667 points) on Friday, June 3 in the quarterfinals. The Cougars and Bucs did not play one another during the regular season.
