Seeds

Yes, it is finally time to plant your garden. The Hope school is selling seeds. How about helping them out. They have the following seeds: cucumbers, lettuce, spinach, bush beans, carrots, zucchini, basil, snap peas, beets, radishes, zinnias and Swiss chard. Seeds are still available for $1.50 per package with all profits benefiting the gardening program.

Community Birthday Calendar

The community calendar is a wonderful fundraiser for Hope Elementary School and the Hope library. This year they mailed reservation forms to all households but many were not received. Volunteers are calling families to ask them to renew their subscriptions. If you have not been called or if you are new to the area please call Judith Jones at 763-3576 to sign up. Calendars are $8, checks to Hope School Volunteers. Donations may be left in the Hope Town Office, at Hope Elementary School or mailed to the library at 443 Camden Road, Hope, ME. 04847. Thanks to everyone for their continued support.

Pen Pal tea

Last Thursday at the Hope school, the annual pen pal tea was held. What a lot of students with 20 adults attending. Grade 2 there are 18 students with 15 adults attending and grade 3 their are 20 students and 19 adults attended. Now the adults that could not attend notified the school so no one was left alone. If you have never taken part in this program you do not realize what you are missing. You call the school 785-4081 and they will give you the name to call to take part in this program. Special thanks go to Patti Tempio-Wilson for organizing this event. She did an excellent job. Also thanks to all who helped her in anyway.
