The site of the former Black Bull restaurant is expected to re-open under new management and with a new name in time for the start of summer.

Daniel Pease said Monday, May 23 he plans to open Rock Harbor restaurant by mid-June.

He said it would be a similar style to the Black Bull, with a pub-style lunch menu with steaks and seafood dinners.

Pease said he has been brewing beers for several years and eventually wants to have Rock Harbor be a brew pub and serve beer made there.

The Black Bull closed in March.

Workers were in the 420 Main St. space this week in preparation for the restaurant’s opening.

Pease is a Rockland native and now lives in Union. His parents Willard “Skip” and Cheryl Pease own the building where the restaurant will be located.
