Richard L. Nealey, 58, went to be with the Lord at his residence in Northport Thursday, May 19, 2011. He was born in Camden Nov. 15, 1952, the son of Richard and Marilyn (Hodgdon) Griglioni.

He worked in Disney World doing construction of the theme parks for many years and in Washington, D.C. on the Holocaust Memorial. In more recent years he worked for City of Belfast’s Parks & Recreation Department.

Richard enjoyed crosswords and working with the kids at the skate park. He was active in his church, most recently Thurston Ministries in Searsport and Grace Tabernacle. Richard loved watching sports, especially the Red Sox and Bruins. He enjoyed working outside around the house.

He was predeceased by both parents; his wife, Delores Nealey; and one brother, Eric Bonin.

Survivors include his fiancée, Joan Maddocks of Northport; two children, Angela Nealey of South Carolina and Mary Alice Nealey of Florida; his half-brothers, Harold Nealey and his wife Jane, and Roger Nealey, all of Northport; his half-sister, Vernita Edwards and her husband John of Florida; several grandchildren; many nieces; his cat Tigger; and special dog, Jenna.

Thanks to nephew, Jami, for all of his special attention before and after Richard’s death.
