Jeffery and Sherry McCormick of Union are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter Lacey to Jacob Rollins, son of Greg and Trina Rollins of West Rockport. The bride and groom were surrounded by friends and family as they exchanged vows in an outdoor ceremony at Val Halla Golf Club in Cumberland on Aug. 7, 2010. Mike Poli of Waldoboro officiated the ceremony. “Here Comes My Girl” was performed on guitar by Shane Schools, friend of the couple, as the bride was presented by her father.

The bride’s sister, Briana McCormick, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Claire Rollins, Amanda Boetsch, Ashlee Giroux, McKenzie O’Brien and Sarah Maxcy, and the junior bridesmaid was Lily McCormick, sister of the bride. The groom’s brother, Levi Rollins, was best man. Groomsmen were Nathaniel Boehmer, John Marriner, Andrew Pratt, John Fisher and Chris Remsen and the junior groomsman was Evan McCormick, brother of the bride.

The bride wore an ivory gown that was covered in delicate beaded lace with champagne accents. The dress had “V” necklines on both the front and the back, featured a beaded dropped waste-line, beaded buttons down the back, and a chapel length train. The maid of honor wore a chiffon cocktail length dress in coral, with ivory satin sash and halter. The junior bridesmaid wore a similar dress of the maid of honor. Bridesmaids wore satin cocktail-length halter dresses in coral, with organza sashes. The groom wore a khaki tuxedo and an ivory satin tie and vest. Groomsmen wore khaki tuxedos, with coral satin vests and ties. All attire was purchased at Midcoast Weddings & Special Events of West Rockport.

Flowers were arranged by Raymond Village Florist. The bride carried a bouquet of 10 coral Gerbera daisies with silver bouillon loops incorporated; the stems were wrapped with white lace taken from the train of her mother’s wedding dress, which she wore 26 years ago. Bridesmaids carried bouquets of five ivory Gerbera daisies with the stems wrapped in sheer coral ribbon. The groom’s boutonniere was a single coral mini Gerbera daisy with bear grass; each groomsman wore an ivory mini Gerbera daisy with bear grass.

The reception was held in the ballroom of Val Halla Golf Club with catering and planning provided by Blue Elephant Catering of Saco. Reception music was provided by DJ Dave Winsor of Gorham. The bride and groom would especially like to thank Pamela Burgess of Warren for creating their gorgeous and delicious wedding cake.

Lacey is a graduate of Medomak Valley High School. She received her bachelor of science in early childhood education at the University of Maine at Farmington. She is employed as a first-grade teacher by the Oxford Hills School Department. Jacob is a graduate of Camden Hills Regional High School. He received his bachelor of science in mechanical engineering at the University of Maine. He is employed as a manufacturing project leader at Lanco Assembly Systems in Westbrook.

The couple honeymooned on a Western Caribbean cruise to Mexico, Cayman Islands, and Jamaica. They reside at their home in Raymond with their German Shepherd, Rambo.
