Since day one of the campaign, the Camden Hills boys lacrosse team has fought to secure a win. After tough spring weather conditions and strong opponents conspired to bring the Windjammers down in their first six matches, Camden Hills finally tasted victory Wednesday as the locals defeated visiting Mountain Valley of Rumford 14-1.

Marshall Crockett (11 saves) played in the goal for the Windjammers. Camden Hills finished with 42 shots on goal.

For the Windjammers, Zach Nelson (3 goals, assist), Max Mercier (3 goals, 2 assists), Vinny Kwiathowski (3 goals), Jack Orne (2 goals), Bryant Weston (2 goals), Malcolm Steele (3 assists), Nick Linscott (goal), Taylor Harrison (assist) and Andrew Flanagan (assist) contributed to the offense.

Camden Hills (1-6, 0.8333 points) is 10th in the Maine Principals’ Association Heal Point Standings for Eastern Class B, while Yarmouth (4-1, 38.5417 points) is first in the 11-team region.
