Betty Jean Spear, 76, a resident of Park Street, died May 3, 2011, at Penobscot Bay Medical Center in Rockport with her family at her side.
Betty was born July 1, 1934, in Thilles, N.Y., a daughter of Anthony and Blanche DeGray Zamba, and attended local schools there.
She moved to Rockland, where she eventually met her husband, William Robbins, along with her second husband, Edward Spear, both of whom predeceased her.
A homemaker all her life, she loved collecting bears, reading books, raising her pet cats and dogs, and watching her soap operas.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Farmer and her husband, Randy, of Warren; a son, Gary Garzarelli and his wife, Lisa; her companion, Raymond Olsen of Rockland; a grandson, Christopher Robbins of Thomaston; and a great-grandson, Tyler Robbins of Thomaston.
A private funeral service will be held.
