Charlene L. Wilson, 46, went to be with the angels, surrounded by her family, at her home, May 4, 2011, after an extended illness.

Born in Rockland on April 28, 1965, she was the daughter of Charles H. and Wilma A. Curit Davis. She was educated in Rockland schools.

On June 30, 1984, she married the love of her life, Scott A. Wilson, at the Children’s Chapel in Rockport.

A devoted wife, mother and homemaker, over the years Charlene worked at various jobs as one of her many contributions to her family. She enjoyed gardening, but more than anything was always involved her children’s lives. Known as a neighborhood mom, the door of her home was always open to anyone. She loved participating in many of her children’s school functions.

Her three dogs, Maggie, Buddy and Cooper, held a special place in Charlene’s heart.

She had a longtime special friendship with Tracy Sturks of St. George.

Other than her beloved husband, Scott, and her mother, Wilma Copeland of Rockland, Charlene is survived by one son, Travis S. Wilson and his girlfriend Susan Shepard of South Thomaston; one daughter, Megan M. Wilson of St. George; three brothers, Steve W. Davis and his wife, Betty, Craig L. Davis and Robert Sukeforth Jr.; one half-brother, Corey H. York, all of Rockland; as well as several nieces and nephews.
