Mark your calendars

The spring concert at the Hope school will be held Wednesday, May 25 at 6 p.m. just before Memorial Day weekend. The students are learning to create beautiful, rhythmic and lively sounds with voices and instruments. When asked for volunteers to help keep a steady beat, play an instrument, or lead a song, nearly every hand goes up. This indicates both comfort and confidence among the students and tells Mrs. Bragg, the music teacher, that they are in for another fun concert at the end of the year.

Remember that you are welcome to come and observe your child’s music class at any  time. Please contact her at susan_brazz@fivetowns.net for scheduling details.

Camden Senior Citizens

Dr. Eric Betz, Chiropractic & Wellness was the guest speaker at the Camden Senior Citizens meeting that was held last Thursday with 30 people learning about protein, water and fat. An informational sheet to assist everyone was passed out. Dr. Betz educated everyone with a great sense of humor. His office is located at Lincolnville Beach on Route 1. The next meeting will be May 26 with a guest speaker which will be announced. (Yes I did find him). An excellent lunch was served by the Eastern Star Ladies.

Giant thank you

The Hope Volunteer Fire Department would like to thank all the people who attended their public supper April 30. Thanks also to the people who did the cooking for the supper and for the food auction. The food auction was huge success and so was the supper.
