The tearing up of grass at the Megunticook Golf Club on Beauchamp Point in Rockport by a vehicle has led to a call for information, and in exchange, a $1,000 reward.

On April 24, a vehicle was driven onto the third fairway, causing extensive damage. There was also some damage to the third green and the second fairway, Rockport police previously said.

The Megunticook Golf Club is now offering $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the vandalism.

Anyone with information is asked to call Rockport police at 236-2026.
