The Camden Hills boys lacrosse squad suffered another loss Friday, this time as visiting South Portland, a Class A squad, handed the Class B Windjammers a 14-3 defeat.

Marshall Crockett and Aaron Daniello played in goal for the Windjammers and combined to make 19 saves on 38 shots. South Portland goalie Connor Igo faced seven shots from Camden Hills.

Max Mercier, Andrew Flanagan and Weston Bryant scored for Camden Hills.

Thomas Leddy took charge for South Portland with five goals, Brian Cleary had four goals and Robert Hannigan two goals.

Camden Hills (0-4, no points) is ninth in the Maine Principals’ Association Heal Point Standings in Eastern Class B. Yarmouth (3-1, 9.1667 points) sits atop the 11-team region.

In Friday’s jayvee game, the Windjammers dropped a hard-fought 1-0 decision to the Red Riots.

Windjammer coach Mark Hannibal said despite spending most of the game on the offensive side of the field, the Windjammers could not get the ball into the net. Multiple shots were either wide or blocked, he said, and the team’s “defense looked great holding the Red Riots to one goal. Now that we know we can pass the ball around, clearly, we need to work on our shooting.”
