Bruce James Lamb III was born Feb. 7, 1972, at Knox County General Hospital in Rockland. He passed away April 30, 2011, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in Houston, Texas.

Jamie, as he was known to childhood friends and family, graduated from Rockland District High School in 1990, where he played varsity basketball and football, and from the University of Maine at Farmington. He was an avid fan of both the Boston Red Sox and Pittsburg Steelers. At the time of his death, he was working as a procurement manager at URS in Houston, Texas.

Bruce (Jamie) brought much happiness and laughter to all who had the opportunity to know him. He was a wonderful father, husband, son, brother and loyal friend. His sense of humor touched us all, bringing light into our hearts. We will miss him every day of our lives.

He was predeceased by his father, Bruce J. Lamb Jr.; his maternal grandparents, Dorris and Cleveland Sleeper; his paternal grandparents, Nell and Bruce J. Lamb; and his beloved step-grandmother, Althea Lamb.

He is survived by his mother, Martha S. Majunka, and his stepfather, Roman M. Majunka of Rockland; his sister, Patricia Lamb Jackson of South Thomaston; his wife, Karelis Anato and baby daughter, Carmen Angelica Lamb, of Cypress, Texas; his daughters, Zoadia and Azayja Lamb of Skiatook, Okla.; his stepmother, Diane Lamb, and his stepsisters, Elizabeth Kosmala and Dawn Kosmala Rauch, all of Virginia; his mother-in-law, Carmen Laya; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and lifelong friends.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 21 at 1:30 p.m. at the Rockland Congregational Church.
