The renovations to the McDonald’s restaurant are nearly complete but the large Golden Arches that has adorned the site for 40 years is gone.
As part of the $150,000 renovation project to the facade of the structure, the Golden Arches were removed from the site to conform to the city’s sign law.
The Golden Arches were taken down Monday and were gone from the site by Wednesday.
McDonald’s opened in Rockland in 1971. The original building was demolished after the existing restaurant was built in 1989.
