The Camden Hills Regional High School bands, directed by Nancy Rowe, will hold their annual Winter Concert Thursday, Jan. 13 at 7 p.m. in the Strom Auditorium of the school, Route 90. Groups to be featured include the CHRHS Concert and Jazz bands and small ensembles.

The bands will perform a wide variety of repertoire including excerpts from the “Nutcracker” ballet score and the folk song “Shenandoah.” The jazz ensemble will perform several big band standards showcasing student soloists Stan Grunder, Sam McKenna, Sean Fay and Andrew Kyle. Senior alto saxophonist Kyle Nolan will be the featured soloist for the ballad “Lover Man.” The concert will culminate with a performance of the march “Tall Cedars,” which will include eighth grade band students from Camden-Rockport, Hope, Appleton and Lincolnville middle schools.

Admission to the concert is free. Snow date for the event is Jan. 20.
