Lincoln County Community Orchestra will hold open auditions for its early spring production of “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum” at Lincoln Theater, Elm and Theater streets. Auditions are set for Sunday, Jan. 2; and Tuesday, Jan. 4 at 6 p.m.

“Forum” has music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and a book by Burt Shevelove and Larry Gelbart. The LCCT production, directed by Sue Ghoreyeb with music direction by Sean Fleming, will be presented Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m.; and Sundays at 2 p.m., March 25 through April 3.

Friends, Romans, and community theater countrymen and –women are asked to come prepared to sing a song from the show, or something similar, if they are interested in one of the principal roles. Music can be obtained in advance by contacting the director or music director via the auditions’ Facebook page; and online, where lyrics are available as are multiple clips on YouTube. All previous cast members are encouraged to come and be a part of the cast, crew or audience, and new faces are welcome as well.
