Camden Whole Health, a new center for integrative health care, welcomes the community to join together in cleansing toward optimal health.

Dr. Deb Moskowitz, a licensed naturopathic doctor (and owner of Camden Whole Health) and Dr. Barbara MacDonald, a licensed naturopath, acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist, practice together at Camden Whole Health, located at 91 Elm St.

Moskowitz and MacDonald, as well as other Camden Whole Health practitioners including Holly Noonan, holistic health counselor, and Susan Hamill, colon hydrotherapist, invite the community to join them in reaching their New Year health goals through a three-week cleanse from Jan. 8 to Jan. 29.

On Jan. 8 from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., Camden Whole Health will kick off the New Year Community Cleanse with group support, a free lecture, handouts and Qi Gong to help participants let go of what they are ready to release and take in the abundance of healthy alternatives. MacDonald will introduce the physical, emotional and mental benefits of cleansing the liver, colon, kidneys and lymphatics. Participants will discover the benefits and review common side effects of simple, moderate and intensified cleansing and detoxification plans. Qi Gong and creative visualization will end the first meeting.

Participants are encouraged to choose the intensity of the cleansing techniques that is appropriate for their personal needs and physical limitations. They can take it simple with diet, castor oil packs and alterative tea or intensify it with botanicals, fiber and probiotics (fee applies). During the month of January, all cleansing products are 10 percent off for group participants.

On Jan. 29 from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., Moskowitz will bring closure to the community cleanse and lecture on naturopathic testing methods for digestive issues and heavy metals as well as the reasons for more specific cleansing and detoxification plans that participants may consider in the future.

For those who need more support, Camden Whole Health always offers colonics, group nutritional plans or individualized wellness plans (fees apply).

Space is limited to 20 participants. To join, call Wellness Designed Natural Family Medicine at Camden Whole Health at 230-1131. It is located at the corner of Park and Elm streets (Route 1) in Camden.
