The Camden Rotary Club gathered at The First Congregational Church on Dec. 17 to assemble and deliver food baskets to area residents in need of a little help this holiday season. The project was conceived and organized by club member Richard Householder and supported by the entire Camden Rotary Club.

“While there are so many organizations in the area doing terrific work, the needs of many local residents have increased recently due to the economy,” said Richard Householder in a press release. “We wanted to fill in some gaps and help our local residents have a happy holiday.”

Graham Phaup, Camden Rotary Club president said in the press release that “Dick brought this idea directly to our board and it was enthusiastically supported and put together in a very short period of time. It’s a clear demonstration of Camden Rotary’s commitment to both local and international causes. I hope this becomes an annual project.”
