Members of the congregation of Adas Yoshuron Synagogue and other volunteers are getting ready for their 21st Annual Christmas Day Community Dinner in Rockland.

The meal, which features appetizers, fresh turkey, and all the homemade trimmings, will be served at 12 noon at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Rockland, at the corner of White and Limerock streets. Meal coordinator Lisa Breheny promises great food, good company, and lots of holiday cheer for anyone who attends this traditional community event.

And this year once again members of Adas Yoshuron Synagogue will coordinate the Christmas Day Meals on Wheels for Knox County. The effort will be based at the Methodist Conference Home on Summer Street in Rockland. Food handlers, preparers, and drivers are being briefed and will be ready to assume the rural route, delivering the homemade hot meals to people at home in Knox County.

Additionally, the synagogue crew will be preparing and serving the Christmas Day meal at the Methodist Conference Home.
