On Saturday, Jan. 15 and Saturday, Jan. 22, Chris Beach, a Jungian analyst and registered counselor with a private practice in Portland will teach a dream workshop.

The workshop will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at First Universalist Church in Rockland on 345 Broadway. A snow date has been set for Saturday, Jan. 29.

Humans spend a third of their lives asleep, much of it dreaming. In this workshop Beach introduces individuals to different approaches for analyzing their dreams. While briefly considering the ideas of Jung, Freud, and others, Chris has attendees work with dreams in a hands-on, practical way. He begins by explaining techniques. Then, as a group, people work to grasp a series of dreams that he presents. He guides the group as they discern possible meanings within each dream.

Beach teaches this course at both USM and the C. J. Jung Center in Brunswick. He is offering it at the UU Church in Rockland for a reduced rate, $60 for church members and $125 for non-members.

A certificate of attendance is available upon request. Please bring a brown bag lunch.
