Everyone is invited to an exhilarating afternoon of drum, dance and community spirit to honor the return of the light Sunday, Dec. 19 from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at High Mountain Hall, 5 Mountain St./Route 52.

Inanna will provide the music for a 5Rhythms Wave led by Kari Luehman and Anna Witholt-Abaldo. The winter solstice, full moon and a lunar eclipse all happening Tuesday, Dec. 21 carries great energy and that influence is being felt as we approach the day. What better way to begin the transformation of dark to light than through the flow of dance and drumming so that as a community?

Participants can begin the process of surrendering to what is; letting go of the old paradigms that are not working; and blessing the new season with light, love and freedom. The approaching energy of the solstice makes the time is perfect to manifest the vibration of good will and love.

Admission will be $20, $15 for senior citizens and students. For more information, call Luehman at 701-9557 or Witholt-Abaldo at 763-9557; or visit maine5rhythms.com.
