Local band the Oxford Horse Thieves will perform a benefit concert Sunday, Dec. 19 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the John Street United Methodist Church, 98 John St. Admission will benefit the church’s roof fund.

The Oxford Horse Thieves’ motto is “we’ll play any music we can steal”; they play mostly ’60s rock but try to reach families young and old with their tunes. The band’s members are Doug Maple on guitar, Jen Feldman on sax, Cami Leidenfrost on keyboards and Jack Deupree on bass. In addition to playing, they all sing.

Admission is $5 per person, with a $10 maximum per family (all ages). The music will be complemented by coffee, cookies and candlelight.
