An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.

Rockland police responded to the following calls from Dec. 6 through Dec. 8.

Dec. 6

Officer Lloyd Daniels responded to a car crash on Main Street by the ferry terminal. There were no injuries.

Officer Daniels responded to a harassment complaint.

Officer Daniels responded to a threatening complaint on the Bog Road.

Officer Daniels responded to a car crash on Main Street. There were no injuries.

Officer William Smith responded to an animal problem on Cedar Street. There were no injuries.

Officer Smith responded to a theft complaint at Hannaford on Maverick Street. Cody Dinsmore, 19, of Rockland was issued a summons for theft of $14 in items from the store.

Officer Daniels responded to a car crash in the Industrial Park. There were no injuries.

Officer Daniels responded to a harassment complaint on the Bog Road.

Sgt. Anthony Camporiale responded to a theft complaint.

Officer Smith responded to a threatening complaint at Wal-Mart.

Dec. 7

Officers responded to seven violations of the overnight parking ban.

Officer Lloyd Daniels responded to an animal problem on North Main Street.

Officer Daniels responded to a threatening complaint on New County Road.

Officer Daniels responded to a theft complaint at the Salvation Army building on Payne Avenue. Cornell Welsh, 43, of Thomaston was arrested for theft of L.L. Bean hiking shoes valued at $20. Welsh was out on bail from a previous theft charge and was charged by Rockland police for violating a condition of release.

Officer Joseph Bates responded to an all-terrain vehicle problem at the intersection by Broadway and Cedar Street.

Officer Bates responded to a harassment complaint on the Bog Road.

Officer Bates responded to a motor vehicle burglary on Camden Street.

Officer Joel Neal responded to a disorderly complaint on Carroll’s Lane.

James Caston, 54, of Manchester was arrested for operating under the influence.

Dec. 8

Officer Neal responded to 10 violations of the overnight parking ban throughout the city.

Officer Daniels responded to an assault complaint on Cedar Street.

Officer Daniels responded to a fish and game complaint on Dodge Mountain.

Officer Daniels responded to a hit-and-run car crash on Summer Street.

Sgt. Don Finnegan responded to a fish and game complaint on Talbot Avenue.

Officer Daniels responded to a juvenile problem on Maple Street.

Officer Daniels responded to a criminal mischief complaint at the Knox County Jail.

Detective Russell Thompson responded to a child abuse complaint on Rankin Street.

Animal Control Officer Jeff McLaughlin responded to an animal welfare complaint on the Bog Road.

Matthew Hofacker, 36, of Rockland was arrested on a probation violation.
