The Waldoboro Dunkin’ Donuts was burglarized early Sunday morning, Dec. 12, said Waldoboro Police Chief William Labombarde.

The thieves took an undisclosed amount of cash and other products, the police chief said.

Detective Lance Mitchell is investigating the burglary. Anyone with information can call the police department at 832-4500 and talk to Mitchell or Chief Labombarde. All tips are confidential, the police chief said.

Access to the Dunkin’ Donuts was gained through the drive-through window, which the thieves smashed. The store was closed when the burglary occurred. Employees discovered the break-in when they arrived for work.

The Waldoboro Dunkin’ Donuts is located on Route 1, at the intersection with Route 32.
