The Midcoast Chapter of the Maine Women’s Network (MWN) cordially invites members, guests, and the general public to its meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 5 at the Haven Event Center on Route 90 in Rockport. Each meeting provides meaningful networking opportunities for members to market themselves and their businesses, as well as to make personal contacts.

This meeting is sponsored by Midcoast Chapter member Mary Bumiller, with Bangor Savings Bank.

The Midcoast Chapter is excited to announce the fourth of its “Healthy, Wealthy & Wise” speaker series. The presenters are a mix of women with expertise in the areas of finance, business development, non-profit leadership, social entrepreneurship, health and wellness. This series will be filled with practical, hands-on, ready-to-use information, knowledge and advice that members and guests will be able to use immediately to help them meet both personal and professional goals.

On Jan. 5, the Maine Women’s Network welcomes local attorney Rebecca Webber. She is a graduate of Boston College Law School, magna cum laude (J.D. 1989). In law school, she was Editor in Chief of the Boston College Environmental Law Review, was elected to the Order of the Coif, and received the Lyne Woodward and Evarts Award for Outstanding Editorial Work.

Webber will address the Maine Women’s Network with her top 10 employment law issues for small business. So bring a pad of paper and pen to take lots of notes and take away some valuable wisdom from an expert in her field.

The cost, which includes full buffet and dessert, time for networking and the presentation, is $20 for members, $25 for guests of members and $28 for non-members. Non-members are always welcome. Members are encouraged to register their guests in advance for the member guest rate. Online pre-registration for members, guests and non-members is required by Wednesday, Dec. 29.
