The Baroquen Consort will offer a holiday concert Thursday, Dec. 16 at 6:30 p.m. at Rockland Public Library, 80 Union St.

The ensemble features players of the recorder and violoncello who have been playing in the Midcoast area for more than 19 years. The group is made up of professional and amateur musicians who enjoy playing baroque, renaissance, folk and other types of traditional music.

The members of the Baroquen Consort are  director Bev Dal-Pozzal and Lois Abbott, Mary Blum, Jim Birch, Jean Scott Creighton,  Deborah Haviland, Peg Jones and Nancy Stokes.

Special accommodations for persons with disabilities can be made with 48 hours notice by calling 594-0310. This evening is one in a continuing Thursday evening series of literary, film and musical offerings sponsored by the library and Friends of the Rockland Public Library. Admission is free.
