The annual Camden Hills Regional High School Empty Bowls Supper and Silent Auction of Crafts will be held in the school’s Wave Café Monday, Dec. 13 from 5 to 7 p.m.

The event provides a showcase for the school’s visual arts students while also contributing to local hunger relief. Diners will enjoy a meal of homemade soup from a handmade bowl they choose from those made by students and faculty artists. The bowls go home with the diners and the supper fee goes to hunger relief, as do proceeds from the evening’s silent craft auction.

Tickets for the supper are $7, with a cap of $20 for a family of two adults with two children younger than 12. Those interested in helping out by donating soup for the supper or a craft item or other handmade gift for the silent auction should send e-mail to

The Winter Chorale concert will follow at 7 p.m. in the Strom Auditorium. Snow date for both events is Wednesday, Dec. 15.
