For the third time in its history, Trekkers is offering three spots for bands with a unique sound and style that will add to this year’s already amazing lineup of talent. If selected to perform at Trekkapalooza, the bands will be eligible to win a cash prize and be crowned best Bus Band of 2011.

Anyone with musical talent who is interested in performing at Trekkapalooza 2011 should contact the Trekkers office at 594-5095 or via e-mail to The Trekkapalooza committee is looking for musical acts of all ages and style.

For the first time ever, the student-run fundraising event will be held at Rockland District High School. As Trekkers begins enrolling seventh graders from Rockland, South Thomaston and Owls Head into the program this spring, the student committee organizing the event decided that holding Trekkapalooza 2011 at RDHS would be a great way to bring together the Trekkers community and the Rockland-area youth.

Tickets for the event can be purchased at the Trekkers office on Buttermilk Lane in Thomaston or by calling 594-5095. This is an all-ages show and a chemical-free event.
