MESA, or the Educational Technicians and Secretaries of Maine School Administrative District 28 and the Five Town Community School District is holding its second annual coffee can cookie and bake sale, during Christmas by the Sea in The Smiling Cow store in Camden on Friday, Dec. 3 and Saturday, Dec. 4.

Homemade cookies, cakes, and breads will be for sale. Purchase a coffee can from us and fill it with a variety of cookies, home baked with love, by our MESA members. All proceeds from this bake sale contribute to the MESA Scholarship Fund. Scholarships are given each year to Camden Hills Regional High School graduates pursuing further studies in a technical college or other two-year program beyond high school.

Over the years MESA has awarded scholarships to the following high school graduates:

2010: Catherine Bissonnette, Joseph Lawson

2009: Amanda Denmen, Sam Lanning

2008: Joshua Simmons, Nathan Wyman

2007: Alyssa Harvey, Mercedes Rich, Danielle Pendleton, Tyler Crispo, Roland Robitaille, Brenton LaCombe

2006: Darcy Moore, Conor Mathews, Jacob Feener

Past scholarship recipients are invited to stop by the bake sale and update MESA on their careers.

On Friday, the bake sale will run between 4 and 9 p.m., and Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Please support the scholarship fund and enjoy a homemade treat for the holidays.
