Advent workshop Dec. 5

ROCKLAND — Rockland Congregational Church, 180 Limerock St., will hold an Advent Workshop in the lower level fellowship hall on Sunday, Dec. 5 from 1 to 4 p.m. This holiday preparation event offers something for all ages including making wreaths and decorated baskets and creating Christmas crafts such as beaded decorations, calendars, and bird feeders. There will also be cookies to decorate. Refreshments will be served and all are welcome to attend. There is no charge and materials will be provided. Reduced price Boar’s Head tickets available for children

ROCKLAND — Rockland Congregational Church is offering a limited number of reduced price general admission tickets for families with elementary school-age children to attend the Boar’s Head and Yule Log Festival, which will be held Jan. 1 and 2 in the church sanctuary at 180 Limerock St. A maximum of two adults with each group of children may be included in the half-price offer. The performances, held at 2 and 4:30 p.m., include pre-show entertainment and a gala reception after the hour-long pageant. Children love seeing the live animals in church and being able to visit them in the petting zoo. The Boar’s Head and Yule Log Festival rounds off the holiday season by bringing the spirit of Christmas back to it’s sacred origins. Warren food pantry open again Dec. 2

WARREN — Bread for the Journey, the food pantry at Warren Baptist Church was so blessed to be able to serve the few folks who came on opening day Nov. 18  to have a need filled. The pantry will re-open Thursday, Dec. 2 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The church welcomes all those folks from Warren who are really struggling to put food on thier tables. The pantry has plenty to give those who are in need thanks to the generosity of many. Stop in and enjoy a hot beverage and doughnut and let the pantry know how it can help.
