Five Town Community School District  Adult Ed, along with the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, is offering a two-night class on snowmobile safety Dec. 13 and 15.

Every year there are accidents involving snowmobiles- state records show an average of 280 accidents a year, with 10 of those being fatal. Many could have been prevented if the snowmobiler had known how to properly operate and maintain a snowmobile. This class will cover laws, responsibilities and personal safety and help prevent the snowmobile operator from becoming an accident statistic. Both adults and youth are welcome to take this class, youths under the age of 14 need to be accompanied by an adult.
