The downtown Rougette Gallery will host an open house Friday, Dec. 3 from 5 to 8 p.m. during the final AIR (Arts In Rockland) First Friday art walk of the year.

There will be a group show featuring Diane Hebert’s Celebration Books. Hebert hand-makes the books’ papers from the raw bark of the Japanese Kozo tree. Kozo fiber is delicate looking but strong and regenerates annually so no forests are depleted in the process.

Rougette Gallery is located upstairs at 340 Main St. Those interested in seeing the work at another time should feel free to call 596-7979 about other open hours. For more information, visit RougetteGallery.com.
