The annual Holiday Open House weekend at Montpelier, The General Henry Knox Museum offers music in the Oval Room both days. The open house will run Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 4 and 5 from 1 to 4 p.m. Admission is free.

In addition to holiday refreshments and décor, historical exhibits and a children’s story hour (2 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday), several musical groups will perform seasonal and period music in Montpelier’s elegant, high-ceilinged Oval Room.

Saturday’s scheduled features Castlebay from 1 to 2 p.m.; and harpist Mary Chamberlain from 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday’s schedule features Harborside Harmony from 2 to 3 p.m.; and Chamberlain from 3 to 4 p.m.
