Mars Hall Gallery will open its doors for its annual Holiday Show on the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving, Nov. 26 and 27 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The gallery will be open to the public in anticipation of the holiday season and the gift-giving tradition which accompanies this season.

The Holiday Show is held in conjunction with the weekend’s Yuletide in St. George event. Unlike a visit to the Portland Mall or any other large retail organization, this is an opportunity for St. George residents and visitors to choose hand-crafted gifts, many one-of-a-kind, made by local artists and artisans.

This year’s Mars Hall show will feature work by artists Elizabeth Allen, Leo Brooks, Bill Cook, Alison Hill, Kris Johnson, Dick Kelly, Sharon Larkin, Nat Lewis, Blanche Sefton Lutz, Edward Mackenzie, Otty Merrill, Marylin Quint Rose, Elaine Reed, Andy Rosen, Carl Sublett and Eleanor Zuccola. There will be a special tree to benefit the Humane Society of Knox County, and also, invited to participate in the show is Carolyn Jayne, who specializes in antiques and decorative arts.

Everyone is invited to come visit this local gallery famed for its quality arts and crafts to sip hot cider, eat cookies and look over the interesting selections. Mars Hall Gallery is located at 621 Port Clyde Road/Route 131. For more information, call 372-8194 or visit marshallgallery.net.
