The Bread for the Journey food pantry, located at the Warren Baptist Church, will open its doors to the public on Thursday, Nov. 18.

A dedication ceremony for the new pantry was held at the church on Nov. 14.

Organizer Deb McBee said the pantry is stocked and ready to help members of the community. The pantry has received so many donations, the church is looking for an additional freezer and more shelves, she said.

McBee began organizing the pantry in October with the help of Kim Anderson of Jefferson.

The mission for Bread for the Journey is to treat all people with dignity, integrity and respect. To develop new relationships throughout the community and meet the needs of local families, providing necessities and acceptance and giving a hand up towards a quality way of life.
