Sen. Chris Rector, D-Thomaston will be the guest reader at the Thomaston Public Library on Wednesday, Nov.17. The story hour will begin at 6 p.m. in the children’s library. Rector will be reading to children and families of all ages as part of the Thomaston Family Story Hour.

Last month the Thomaston Family Story Hour hosted a reading with Rep. Chuck Kruger, D-Thomaston, who read books with a musical theme to a small audience that included members of his family.

Kruger, who was recently re-elected to the state House of Representatives, hopes to return for a second reading with students from local schools this spring.

“We’re hoping he can bring his guitar,” said library director Brian Sylvester. “He has some great story books that are sing-alongs that he has played for his family.”

Upcoming family story hour programs will feature guest readings from Ellen Dyer, director of Montpelier: the General Henry Knox Museum, RSU 13 Superintendant Dr. Judith Lucarelli, and Thomaston Postmaster Melvaney Dinsmore Jr.
