Amy Jenner and Holly Noonan will present “Overcoming Chronic Illness” at the Camden Public Library on Tuesday, Nov. 16, at 6:30 p.m.

Lyme disease, fibromyalgia, candida, irritable bowl syndrome, chronic fatigue, and frequent headaches are all ways in which our bodies alert us to something having gone wrong. If one suffers from any of a myriad of chronic symptoms, then one knows that managing the symptoms does not actually heal the root cause. It simply makes them more tolerable.

Jenner is a teacher and practitioner of the Five Element System of Chinese medicine, a 2500-year-old method of healing that brings people back into balance, allowing the profound healing that arises out of the deepest intelligence of the body, mind, and spirit to occur. Jenner has been practicing and teaching Theory and Practitioner Development of the Five Element System in Rockland since 2006. For eight years prior to that, she maintained a healing practice in Massachusetts.

Noonan, local nutrition counselor, will be joining Jenner to share her personal journey of healing after seven years of chronic illness, and to help teach how this ancient system of medicine can bring hope and healing to our lives in a modern world.
