This past July the Rockport Garden club was approached by Penobscot Medical Center about the possibility of using its gardening expertise in the two hospital courtyard gardens that seemed to get out of hand with the wonderful growing season.

This was a great opportunity to get the Rockport Garden Club and the Camden Garden Club together to work on a very worthwhile project. So together, garden club members met several times during the summer to trim, weed and clean up the two 20-foot by 30-foot gardens.

Before putting the gardens to bed, 200 daffodils, tulips (the deer won’t get them enclosed here) and irises were planted by a few of the clubs members.
