Lincolnville Police reported the following activity for the period ending Oct. 20:

Oct. 6

Benjamin Ford, 34, of Portland was issued a summons for speeding 59 mph in a 40 mph posted zone by Chief Ron Young on Moody Mountain Road.

Oct. 12

George Welles Thurber, 54, of Northport was issued a summons for speeding 42 mph in a 30 mph zone by Young on Hope Road.

Young received a fraud complaint from a Main Street resident. Following investigation the complaint was determined unfounded.

Young responded to a motorist assist complaint of a disabled vehicle and conducted traffic control on Atlantic Highway.

Oct. 13

Young responded to a complaint of a suspicious person on Atlantic Highway. The complaint was determined to be unfounded.

Jessica Manbeck, 44, of Lincolnville was issued a five-day notice summons for writing a check with insufficient funds by Young. Manbeck later made restitution for the check.

Oct. 15

Young responded to an abandoned vehicle complaint of a vehicle blocking the roadway on Searsmont Road. The vehicle was removed from the scene by Totman’s Wrecker.

Young responded to a traffic hazard report of a tree in the roadway on Hope Road. The Department of Transportation was called and removed the tree. Because of wind and rain, Young was also dispatched to Camden Road, Youngtown Road and Atlantic Highway for traffic hazards of downed limbs and traffic control.

Oct. 18

Young responded to a threatening complaint on Atlantic Highway. Young determined the threat to be unfounded and no action was taken.

Oct. 19

Rory Marren, 38, of Lincolnville was issued a summons for speeding 30 mph in a 15 mph posted school zone by Officer Ryan Nickerson on Hope Road.

Maryann Ames, 39, of East Machias was issued a summons for an expired inspection sticker (over 90 days) by Nickerson on Atlantic Highway.

Amberlie Gibson, 20, of Appleton was issued a warning for speed on Main Street by Nickerson and issued a summons for failure to provide proof of insurance as a result of the traffic stop.

James Conley, 52, of Belfast was issued a summons for speeding 46 mph in a 30 mph posted zone by Nickerson on Hope Road.

Oct. 20

Tonja Doughty, 41, of Brooks was issued a summons for speeding 53 mph in a 35 mph posted zone by Nickerson on Beach Road.

Christina Rackliffe, 37, of Rockland was issued a summons for an expired sticker (over 270 days) by Nickerson on Atlantic Highway.

Tammy Sweetland, 37, of Waldo was issued a summons for an expired inspection sticker (over 120 days) by Nickerson on Atlantic Highway.

Molly Grendell, 28, of Frankfort was issued a summons for an expired inspection sticker (over 180 days) by Nickerson on Atlantic Highway.

Theodore Emery, 26, of Camden was issued a summons for an expired inspection sticker and failure to provide proof of insurance following a traffic stop on Atlantic Highway by Nickerson.

Lincolnville Police responded to four animal control complaints during the reported activity period.
